Marc Maupoux, LMt
Marc completed a 1000-hour program at the Cortiva Institute of Seattle in 2013. He has deepened his training with a few of the many excellent teachers in the Seattle area, including a Biodynamic Craniosacral Certification with Pat O'Rourke, as well as her Structural Injury Work Series. Marc joined Banya 5 in late 2015 and is excited to be a part of such a skilled bodywork team in a setting that combines the therapeutic benefits of hydrotherapy with massage.
Marc's clients have described his work as thoughtful, patient and inquisitive. He uses slow, thorough, contactful myofascial strokes as well as neurofascial and craniosacral work to engage muscle, fascia and nervous system with the aim of supporting postural balance, ease of movement, injury prevention and recovery as well as a holistic sense of grounding and integration.
Marc’s personal experience of persistent injuries, and the healing he continues to do with the support of skilled massage and craniosacral therapy deeply inform his work. He sees his role as that of a facilitator, supporting his clients to tap into their own innate resilience.
